Is Finlingo actually free?
Yes, every lesson, all 120 of them, the full Competition Prep bank, class and chapter tools, and the leaderboard are free with no paid tier. Coins and shop items are earned by learning, never bought with real money.
Do you sell or share student data?
No. We don't sell data to anyone or use it for advertising, and we don't collect payment information. A teacher only ever sees data for students who've joined their own class with their code. The database itself refuses to hand over anyone else's rows, so that separation doesn't depend on the interface hiding them. Full details are in our privacy policy.
Does Finlingo satisfy my state's financial literacy requirement?
Finlingo covers the core personal-finance topics most state standards are built around (budgeting, banking, credit, investing, taxes, and insurance), but whether it formally satisfies your specific state or district's graduation requirement is something to confirm with your administrator. See our state-by-state guide for where those requirements currently stand.
Who is Finlingo built for?
Middle and high schoolers are the core audience, and DECA/FBLA chapters use Competition Prep specifically for exam-style drilling. The lesson content assumes no prior finance knowledge, so adult learners and parents doing it alongside their kids do fine too.
Do students need to create an account?
No, anyone can use the full app with progress saved to their own browser and no sign-up at all. An account is only needed to keep progress across devices, join a class with a teacher's code, or show up on a teacher's roster.
Is there a way to see student progress without checking every device?
Yes, the teacher dashboard shows lessons completed, streaks, and accuracy for your whole roster in one place, and you can assign specific lessons or quizzes with due dates. Try the live advisor dashboard before signing up for anything.
